Welcome to my Blog. My name is Riva Shaw and I am the author of the Circle of Fire series. You can read more about my books on the Circle of Fire Page . When I had finished the first book, I made the decision to Self Publish and I haven't regretted it yet. I am currently working on book two The Master of Tornhill which starts six years after the first book ends. I am filling in the missing years on my Character Blog Page .

There has been more and more interest recently in Indie and Self-published authors, especially with the growing market for e-books. Anyone can publish a book on Kindle. This has to be a  good thing in general as there is some great stuff out there and mainstream publishers are reluctant to take a chance on new authors unless they are guaranteed substantial sales.

The problem of course, is that there is also a lot of dross, bad writing, and good writing badly edited.

I decided recently that as I have gone down the Indie route myself, I should make an effort to discover and support other Indie authors. On my Indie Book Reviews Page I will recommend books that I have enjoyed.

I don't post bad reviews. If I don't like a book, I won't review it.
